Ride Reseda with RNC

The project, spearheaded by Hank Truxillo of the Reseda NC board is an exploration of Reseda and its environs by bicycle. The rides are generally about 10 miles or 90 minutes. Each ride follows a theme, such as schools, projects, parks, etc. The goals are neighborhood awareness, community contact, and good health.

The rides start at 9:00 am from the Reseda NC Office
18341 Sherman Way #102, Reseda.

Future rides include the southern route, the orange line, and the fabulous footbridges of Reseda. Suggestions, such as time, frequency, and other routes are welcome. Perhaps one day, we’ll even climb Mt. Reseda (all the way to the northern end of Reseda Blvd, which stops just short of Dirt Mulholland
Blvd.).

For more information, contact Hank Truxillo at hank.truxillo@gmail.com.

Helmets are suggested (mandatory for riders or passengers under 18). Bring water and eat a good
breakfast!

See You Sunday!!

    Ride Reseda

Last Sunday’s (1/8/2012) Ride Reseda explored the western leg of the Orange Line from Tampa to Canoga Ave, then swinging south around Pierce College and conquering Mt Oxnard (in the Chalk Hills). This time, we had a police escort, thanks to West Valley Division officers Robert Trulik, Daryl Scoggins, and Royal Barber who joined us for the ride.

Last Sunday’s (1/15/2012) Ride Reseda explored Northridge University. We visited such places as the Botanic Garden, Fuel Cell, the Rain Forest, the soon-to-be-opened Student Rec Center, the Valley Performing Arts Center, and the Orange Grove and Duck Pond. Thanks to the expertise of Rider Glenn Bailey, we received an inside view of the campus.

This Sunday, 1/22, we are going to POSTPONE the ride due to weather. Those of you still eager to ride can follow any of our previous routes – just make sure to bring a poncho or a raincoat.
